This summer I wanted to seal coat my driveway so I started looking into the process using the big box store products, after reading the labels and talking with people who had done this I wasn't impressed with having to apply every 2-3 years even if I bought the 8 year stuff. I also didn't like that it takes so long to dry and even then my vehicles might leave tracks on it. I saw an add in my mail from Eco Friendly Seal Coat and was intrigued with the title and claims. I had 10 kids at the time and my wife was expecting our 11th. (yes 11 I'm not joking) and I work for a State environmental firm and am very skeptical of all claims made since many of them are false. So I called Mike with Eco Friendly Seal Coat and set up a meeting. He brought some more information with some research data and some web sites I could do some of my own research. I spent the better part of a month looking into the product and it's claims I even called a couple traditional seal coat companies and asked what materials they used (Coal Tar). My mind was made up after I talked to one of these companies when I heard the guy say he uses a coal tar base but his workers don't like it since they get second degree burns from using the stuff. I'm not using something that toxic around my family. I called Mike back to set up a time for him to come and apply the product. I wanted to be there to watch so timing was everything to me. He was able to fit it into my schedule great. He said it would take about 1 hour (2500 sq ft) to apply and it would be dry to walk on within 45 minutes. He showed up on time, cleaned my driveway and prepped it, applied the product and was done cleaning up in no time at all. We were able to walk on the first part before he was done applying the last area. So from prep to clean up it might have taken 3 hours total. It looks great and I haven't left a track any where on it. I look forward to seeing how it holds up over our long winters. I'm sure it will do great. On a side note my neighbor just a few weeks later did the big box store product. My wife said he and his wife were out there for one and half days applying the product and his vehicles were parked and driving on his lawn for the next 3 to 4 days so it could dry properly. To me my time, money and energy not to say my children's health were much better off using Eco Friendly Seal Coat.

I was quite impressed with the quality of the product.  When we purchased our house, the driveway was in terrible shape and was not maintained for years.  Mike and his people came out and filled the Cracks with sand, patched the alegatering and sealed the driveway in about an hour. I am really pleased with the results, and to know that there are no patroleum products that are going do break down and run into the environment is great......
